With Stars In Her Eyes

Its a bit of a throwback thursday! I remember first seeing this gorgeous look by Peter Phillips on the Chanel fall '13 runway, Okay so it might not be an everyday look but there are definitely opportunities to rock these bold metallics (a concert or a girls night out, perhaps?).  Here's a quick and easy how to;

Chanel’s glitter eye makeup
  1.  Start by applying your foundation, Nars Sheer Glow or Chanel Perfection Lumiere work really well for a natural - dewy effect.
  2.  Contour the cheeks and keep the blush natural. Finish off the base by applying Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light.
  3.  Apply Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue Glitter Bonding Eye Shadow Primer to the base of the lid.
  4. Carefully apply glitter using a cotton tip. Best is to start from the middle and work outwards, layering the paillettes. for chunky glitter I love using Makeup For Ever Paillettes in Extra Large. For a more subtle look choose Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow or Topshop Glitter pot.
  5.  To keep the eyes bold but not overpowering, apply eyeliner to the lower lashline.
  6.  Finish off the eyes by adding a volumizing mascara such as Two Faced Better Than Sex, DiorShow Iconic or Loreal Telescopic

Let me know if you tried this look (or a variation of it) and what you think of it.
