Makeup trend: Valentino Spring 2014

Left to Right: Nars 'Albatros', Loreal Colour Riche Quad, Lancome Teint Idole, Mac pressed pigment, Bobbi Brown Intensifying Mascara.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I thought I would share with you one of my favourite looks off the runway. Makeup artist, Pat McGrath put a spin on the 'natural - no makeup-makeup' at the Valentino spring 2014 show. It is minimal yet striking, evoking a etno and operatic vibe.  This season it was all about highlighting; McGrath applied a lighter foundation to the face and enhanced it by adding powder illuminator to the cheeks, nose and cupids bow.  The rest of the look is relatively muted; Concealer was applied to the brows and lips, whilst eyes were kept natural with taupe shades. The look is finished off with a very polished and sleek ponytail.

                                                                      what do you think?
